If you love Whoppers malted milk balls, then this amazing collection of 25+ Tried and True Recipes Using Whoppers is for you! So many delicious ways to use Whoppers candy in your baking!
Happy Halloween! Everyone ready for trick or treating and handing out candy? I think we are ready, doing our Trunk Or Treat the weekend before Halloween always has us prepared, though I will say our pumpkins are looking a *little* scary. I should have tried that tip I read about spraying the inside with a bleach and water mixture. That’s on the to do list next year.
So if your house is like ours, you are about to have some leftover Halloween candy. We always seem to buy way more candy than we end up needing, so it’s time to find some fun things to do with that leftover candy.

Recipes Using Whoppers
Whoppers are one of my favorite Halloween candies. I think it’s the crunch factor, for some reason, crunching always makes food more appealing to me.
I’m the person who orders a Blizzard at Dairy Queen and asks (pleads) with them to not over blend it, I like my crunch. Whoppers, and any other malt ball, are full of that fabulous crunch that I crave.
A friend once gave me some dark chocolate malt balls from Harry & David one year, which pretty much made the heavens open up and sing. Let’s just say the serving size need not apply on those babies!
But I’ll still happily take the good old fashioned Whoppers that my kids seem to reject every Halloween (fools!).

Teal Pumpkin Project
And speaking of candy (which is all I’ve done this week), I almost forgot to tell you this! If you happen to have some non-candy treats, things like stickers, pencils, glow sticks, you can paint a pumpkin teal and join the #TealPumpkinProject. This is something super cool for kiddos (like mine) with food allergies.
The teal pumpkin is a ‘sign’ if you will that a house has non-food items for kids with food allergies. As a parent of a kid with food allergies, I never expect anyone to provide her with “safe” treats, as a mom, that’s my job, but when someone does have a safe alternative, that is AWESOME.
Above are our teal pumpkin at Trunk Or Treat. We have a teal bucket with some non-food treats, and my daughter even decorated our chalkboard to make a “food allergy friendly” sign. So we have candy and non-candy options.
Okay, back to candy. 🙂 I’ve already shared some awesome recipe round up that use Butterfingers, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Snickers.

The one recipe I wanted has no link! And so much advertising…it’s nearly impossible to scroll! Very disappointed.
Christi Johnstone says
Well Nancy, if there isn’t a link it’s most likely because the original recipe site is no longer active, as this is a very old post. Had you mentioned which recipe you were interested in, I actually would have been happy to take time researching it to see if I could help you, but since you decided you’d rather complain about my website then ask for help, I guess I can’t help. Best of luck!
