Ingredients
- Cheeses – I used Colby and Pepper Jack, but you can use other cheese if desired. Havarti, swiss, monterey jack, and gouda all work well. The small mozzarella balls do work really perfectly in this though.
- Meats – Pepperoni and salami are perfect, but you are free to get creative.
- Fruits & Veggies – Grab some green grapes, red grapes and cherry tomatoes. If you can’t find cherry tomatoes, use grape tomatoes. Regular tomatoes get a bit too messy.
- More – You’ll also need some rosemary, green and black olives, pretzel sticks and crackers to serve alongside this.
Directions
- Place your pretzels vertically at the bottom of the board to create the tree trunk. Lay a row of fresh rosemary horizontally across the bottom of the board to establish the base of the tree.
- Next, lay pepperoni slices above the rosemary.
- Follow with a mixture of the pepper jack and colby cheeses.
- Next, add a row of black olives.
- Lay another row of rosemary to create branches throughout the tree.
- Add a row of green grapes.
- Add the salami and mozzarella balls. Fold the salmi in half and use the mozzarella balls to prop the slices up.
- Add another row of rosemary, then place cheddar cheese and green olives onto the board. Continue adding rows of rosemary throughout the assembly to create the look of tree branches.
- Add tomatoes and red grapes.
- Use a star shaped cookie cutter or paring knife to cut out a star from a slice of colby cheese. Place the star on top and add little springs of rosemary throughout.
Tips and Advice
Get Creative: You can pick and place ingredients however you like. This can take a bit of finessing, but once you start it’s pretty easy to fill in and create a fun and festive, decorative board.
Keep It Cool: It’s best that this board not be left out for more than 2 hours.
Leftovers? If you have any leftovers, store them tightly covered in the fridge.

How do you get the pretzels and grapes to stay in place during transport?? I’d like to use pecans also, but they too roll around too easily.
