Homemade Alfredo Sauce
When my friends at Shamrock Farms asked if I would like to share one of my favorite recipes that uses Shamrock Farms Milk, this easy Alfredo sauce recipe immediately came to mind. My oldest daughter loves this easy Alfredo recipe so much that she will offer to make dinner, just so she can make it.
We are very fortunate that our family always has more than enough food to eat, but many families here in Arizona do not share our good fortune. September is Hunger Action Month, so in honor of Shamrock Farms’ 96 years nourishing Arizona families, they are helping those families in need by donating 96,000 servings of pure fresh milk with the Grand Slam Give Back.

Making a dish the way you like it, especially if youāre just serving it to yourself or your family. But for the average home cook who views cooking videos on YouTube who may not know about the origins of these dishes, has a responsibility to at least mention the traditional methods and ingredients. It helps viewers stay informed and also boosts YOUR credibility.
āFettuccine alfredo are not a thing in Italy,ā
In the US it has become a staple in many restaurants that brand themselves Italian.
In Italy, the dish is most similar to what Italians call pasta burro e parmiggiano (pasta with butter and parmesan cheese).
YOU way of making pasta is often referred to as pasta del cornuto ā which translates as ācuckoldās pastaā,
The even more popular way of serving pasta alfredo in the US ā with chicken ā is beyond imaginable.
It is not just poultry and pasta that are not allowed to mix ā meat and pasta very rarely make it on to the same plate. Pasta is one course (primo) and meat is another, fully separate course (secondo).
