- Butter – The butter will need to be melted. You can use salted or unsalted, whatever you see fit.
- Cream Cheese – You’ll find that a block of cream cheese is easier to use than a tub of it. Make sure the cream cheese has been softened before using it.
- Powdered Sugar – Powdered sugar is the best sugar for this recipe.
- Frozen Whipped Topping – Like cool whip or any other brand. You can make your own whipped cream if you’d like instead. Just make sure if you get a frozen one that the topping has been thawed before adding it to the recipe.
- Instant Chocolate Pudding – Also known as instant chocolate pie filling. Any brand works so pick your favorite! Look for the boxes that make four servings. They are usually around 3.4 ounces.
- Milk – 2% or Whole milk will work just fine. Make sure the milk is very cold for this recipe.
- Additional Toppings – Top the chocolate lasagna with some mini chocolate chips, chocolate shavings or curls, as well as some leftover crushed cookie crumbs from the crust.
