We are so excited for Disney Pixar’s Finding Dory, which hits theaters on June 17th. To celebrate, we thought we’d have a little Finding Dory themed fun and food with a Finding Dory DIY Mix buffet for the kids.
My youngest daughter loves to create her own snack mix / trail mix, so I thought this would be an easy, fun and delicious treat for her. I set up a table in our backyard and filled it with a variety of items the kids could choose from to create their own snack.
And because we always need a drink to wash down our snack with, we had some fun fish bowl drinks as well!
But let’s be honest, kids, especially my little one, can be a bit messy. So I also had Bounty prints featuring Disney•Pixar’s Finding Dory on hand for clean up. Not only do they make clean up easy, but they are darling and totally work into the theme! You’ve got to love when you can turn your clean up essentials into part of your party decor!
It’s so easy to set up a DIY Snack Mix buffet like this. To go with the Finding Dory Theme, I used a variety of goldfish crackers, gummy fish and gummy sharks, and rounded things out with popcorn, cereal and dried fruit.
Stick a spoon or scoop in each item, hand out some cups or bowls, and your kids are set to create their own snack mix. My daughter absolutely loves being able to create her own unique mix. Combine the snack items with some blue, orange, green and ocean/fish/sea themed decor items, and you are on your way to a festive Finding Dory inspired party.
And let’s talk about the fishbowl drinks, they are SO fun! And easy! I used some plastic “fish bowls” and simply filled them with ice, blue punch and added in some gummy fish to finish them off. You could totally make a homemade drink for these, but if you are trying to keep it quick and simple, and ready made or ready mix blue punch will work great.
But if you are serving a blue drink to kids, you are probably going to have some messes and spills, but don’t worry, Bounty has you covered. The limited-edition Bounty prints featuring Disney•Pixar’s Finding Dory are a great way to make cleanup fun for the whole family. Bounty is more absorbent, so the roll can last 50% longer.
The NEW Bounty prints featuring Disney•Pixar’s Finding Dory come in paper towel and napkins and are a must-have for any Finding Dory party. They are available now, just in time for Disney Pixar’s Finding Dory, which hits theaters on June 17th.
