Are you thinking of hosting a Halloween party? Need some Halloween party ideas? We’ve hosted a few, and I think they have been some of my favorite parties to date. The food, activities, kiddos in costumes, fun music, Halloween really lends itself to a great party that is quite easy to put together. I won’t lie, I also love an excuse to get all the wear out of those Halloween costumes that we can, so Halloween parties are one more excuse to let the kids wear those costumes!
I’ve put together a great guide on how to host a Halloween party, with my favorite ideas for decorating, both inside and out, Halloween food, setting up a pretty Halloween table and even my favorite Halloween favors. I love fall so much that Halloween always seems so fun to celebrate. I feel like there is a long stretch with no seasonal decor or activities over the summer, and then Halloween kicks off the fun (and sometimes frenzied!) fall and winter holidays. I also have a big love for black and white decor (stripes and dots and chevrons, oh my!), so the whole color scheme – all about it, especially when you throw in pops of lime green or even pink (Pink-O-Ween anyone?). Oh, and glittery skulls? Somehow I find them totally adorable. A pink glittery skull seems like a totally appropriate piece of kitchen decor in my world. And then there is my love for all things Nightmare Before Christmas (sorry if you now have “This is Halloween” stuck in your head). Oh, and trunk or treat!
So yeah, I pretty much adore Halloween and everything about Halloween. And not even for the candy.
Haunted Halloween Gingerbread Houses – these are so fun to make, and they make an awesome centerpiece for a Halloween party.
